Prices & Payment

Information about prices, insurance and payment options

Q
Do you accept health insurance?

Payment for services depends on the location and type of procedure:

  • Levice Clinic: We have contracts with Dovera and Union - some procedures may be covered by insurance
  • Bratislava Clinic: Most services are paid directly by the patient, but some procedures may be partially reimbursed by insurance

When booking, we will inform you exactly about the payment options for the specific procedure and your insurance.

Q
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all common payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro)
  • Bank transfer
  • QR code payment

For larger procedures, installment payment is also possible - we will be happy to provide details during the consultation.

Q
Do you provide price estimates before the procedure?

Yes, at the first consultation, the doctor will provide you with a detailed price estimate including all related costs (examinations, procedure, check-ups, medications). Price transparency is our priority.

No hidden fees - the price we quote is final.

Q
Can I get an invoice for insurance reimbursement?

Yes, after the procedure we will issue a detailed invoice and medical report that you can submit to your health insurance company for partial or full reimbursement of costs (according to your insurance terms).

We recommend consulting with your insurance company in advance about reimbursement options.

Treatment Process

How treatment works and what you can expect

Q
How does the first consultation work?

The first consultation usually takes 30-45 minutes and includes:

  • Detailed discussion about your problems and medical history
  • Clinical examination
  • Evaluation of previous examinations (if you have them)
  • Treatment plan proposal
  • Answering all your questions
  • Price estimate

If needed, we can also perform additional diagnostic examinations directly at the clinic.

Q
How should I prepare for a procedure?

Before each procedure, you will receive detailed written instructions including:

  • Dietary recommendations (fasting before anesthesia)
  • Required laboratory tests
  • Taking or discontinuing medications
  • What to bring to the clinic
  • Need for an escort (for anesthesia)

If you have any questions, we are available by phone.

Q
Do I need to stay overnight at the clinic?

As a day surgery clinic, we specialize in procedures after which you can go home the same day. Most of our procedures do not require hospitalization.

After the procedure, we monitor you for several hours and after the doctor's check, you can go home accompanied by a close person. In some cases, we may recommend short-term hospitalization if it is in your safety interest.

Q
Who will take care of me after the procedure?

After the procedure, we provide complete post-operative care:

  • 24/7 phone contact in case of complications
  • Scheduled follow-up examinations
  • Pain and treatment management
  • Rehabilitation recommendations
  • Support in communication with insurance

Your doctor is available to you until full recovery.

Q
How long does recovery take?

Recovery time depends on the type of procedure and is usually from 1 week to 1 month. Thanks to minimally invasive methods, recovery is usually significantly shorter than with traditional procedures.

During the consultation, the doctor will provide you with a precise estimate of recovery time including recommendations regarding sick leave and return to sports or other activities.

Q
Is the first post-operative check-up free?

Yes, the first post-operative check-up is always free. The doctor will check the wound healing, remove stitches (if necessary) and evaluate the overall condition after the procedure.

Further check-ups and their necessity depend on the type of procedure and healing progress.

Q
Can I drive after anesthesia?

We do not recommend driving after general anesthesia or after a procedure with general sedation. Side effects of anesthesia can persist for 24 hours and affect your attention and reaction time.

We recommend arranging transportation home with an escort. After local anesthesia, driving is usually possible.

Q
Do you offer rehabilitation exercises and physiotherapy?

Yes, we have our own physiotherapy department that offers:

  • Individual exercises - tailored to your type of procedure
  • Group exercises - rehabilitation in a group under the guidance of a physiotherapist
  • Massages - therapeutic and relaxation massages
  • Post-operative rehabilitation - to speed up recovery

Physiotherapy is an important part of treatment, especially after orthopedic procedures.
